Colocation Cost Calculator — Rent vs Own

What would running here cost you?

Work out your real cost per cabinet and cost per kilowatt, then compare renting against owning. Enter what you run and what you pay for it now, and you get an itemised monthly estimate for this building — power at the metered utility rate, bandwidth from the carriers already in the room, and space — against your current colocation invoice. Nothing you type leaves your browser, and it carries through to the contact form so you never type it twice.

Conventional colocation is 3–10 kW a rack. Edge and inference workloads run 10–15 kW.

Five are terminated in the building: Comcast, WOW, LCUB, Iris Networks and AT&T. You contract with them directly.

Your renewal history, not an industry figure. This is what decides the comparison over a term, and it is the number most tenants never project forward.

Take these numbers with you

The button below carries everything above into the contact form — your cabinet count, power, bandwidth, current spend and this estimate. You will not be asked for any of it again.

Power is estimated at the metered LCUB commercial rate for this building applied at the facility PUE, shown as a band between a loaded tenant's marginal rate and the average rate an idle building pays. Bandwidth is indicative; you contract directly with the carrier, not with the landlord. Capacity limits are 40 kW UPS-protected today, 80 kW after the Symmetra PX is scaled, and roughly 63 kW of N+1 cooling — full detail on the specifications page. Nothing here projects income, occupancy or return from operating the facility.

Start a conversation, not an application

You have just itemised what running here would cost against what you pay now. If a line looks wrong, say which one — the power figure in particular is worth checking against your actual draw rather than your nameplate.

You do not have to be ready to buy anything to ask a question. Most people who end up acquiring a facility like this spend weeks working out whether the idea is sound before they speak to anyone, usually because there is nobody in their world who has done it and nobody they can ask without tipping their hand.

That is a normal place to be. Ask the question you would ask if there were no consequence to asking it. Nobody is going to demand proof of funds before answering, and a question is not a signal of intent.

This is a commercial real estate and infrastructure transaction. No client contracts, customer base, recurring revenue, employees or goodwill are included.
